I am an existing user of A’kin haircare; how do I shop the new range?

Why did you remove the pump on haircare bottles?
We were unable to source a pump that was recyclable and made the decision to remove it to reduce our environmental impact; we have also removed all single-use plastic from our supply chain.

How are the new haircare formulations different?
Our new haircare formulations all contain active levels of botanical ingredients combined with potent skincare ingredients to deliver results.

Are A’kin products still natural?
All of our products contain high levels of natural ingredients, but in order to deliver results and improve performance, some non-natural ingredients are included.

Are your products tested on animals?
No, none of our products have ever or will ever be tested on animals.

Do your haircare products contain sulphates or silicones?
Our total haircare range is formulated without sulphates or silicones.

Are your haircare products suitable for coloured hair?
Our range is gentle and should not strip colour, but we are working on a new range formulated specifically to brighten hair and prolong colour.  

How long will it take for my body to adjust to a natural deodorant?
It can take up to 4 weeks for your body to fully transition to natural deodorant, especially after years of using traditional deodorants and antiperspirants!

Please be patient with the process and consider carrying an A’kin natural deodorant with you on the go to freshen up throughout the day while your body detoxifies and adjusts.

What is the difference between an antiperspirant and a deodorant?
A traditional antiperspirant works by clogging the pores to stop the flow of sweat, which, when combined with bacteria, causes odour. A’kin deodorants contains a natural deodorising active that doesn’t block the sweat glands. It works by controlling the micro-organisms responsible for degrading sweat and causing odour.

Is the pump on your spray deodorants recyclable?
Unfortunately, at the moment it is not. We were unable to source a pump that was recyclable, but we plan to make the switch when these are available.

We are committed to reducing our environmental impact so have moved to 100% PCR packaging and we have also removed all single use plastic from our supply chain.

How are the new deodorant formulations different?
Our new formulations contain botanical ingredients to soothe and comfort underarms combined with 24-hour clinical protection against odour.

Do your deodorants contain aluminium?
Our deodorant range is formulated without aluminium, propylene glycol, triclosan, bicarb or zinc.
